Urban is a starter block — like a hotel lobby before you pick your apartment. When you skip neighborhood selection at signup, you land in Urban so the app works immediately. You're not a full resident there, which means you're "roaming" until you claim a real neighborhood in Circles.

Go to Settings → Account section → Username field. Type a new one and save. Validation checks uniqueness and format.

On your Profile page, click "Change Picture" near your avatar. Link Up requires a real photo before you can enter the swipe deck.

Avatar Maker is the quick version — pick traits, get an avatar fast. Avatar Studio is the deep version — body metrics, skin conditions, high-fidelity rendering for detailed design.

Technically yes (no hard block), but it's not a designed feature. One account per person is the intent.

You haven't picked a real neighborhood. You're in the Urban starter block until you make a neighborhood home in Circles. Then it shows "Resident" or "Moving to X" during the 3-day wait.

Go to Circles → browse the map or list → open a neighborhood → tap "Make this home." That starts a 3-day move. You can't move into Urban — it's the starter spot, not a destination.

A Circle is a region (like a state). A neighborhood is a block within a Circle. One Circle contains many neighborhoods. Example: "Georgia Circle" contains "West End," "The Grove," etc.

No. You can browse, chat, follow neighborhoods, play games, and use most features while roaming. You just can't post to a specific neighborhood's porch until you have residency (Urban counts for posting).

Your home neighborhood's activity plus posts from neighborhoods you follow, live streams in your area, and system-curated cards. Following is the sole feed driver — not visits.

Because you follow them. Following a neighborhood adds its porch posts to your feed. Unfollow to stop seeing them.

Someone is online and active in that context right now.

Two options: unfollow the neighborhood (removes all their posts from your feed), or block the specific user (removes just their content). Block is in Settings or on their profile.

You're probably not following any neighborhoods and not a resident anywhere with active posts. Follow a few neighborhoods in Circles — their porch posts will populate your feed.

Circles page → use the search bar to filter by city or neighborhood name → switch between Map and List views. The "My block" button zooms to your home neighborhood.

Following = subscribing to their feed (their porch posts show up in All Porches). Visiting = just looking at their profile (increments their view counter). Only follows drive your feed.

Check the Neighborhood Network page. If it's not there, hit Refresh. Your home neighborhood is excluded from the Following list (you already see its posts).

Yes — follow is independent of residency. Follow any neighborhood from its profile page or the Circles list. The follow button is hidden only if you're already a resident there.

It starts a 3-day move — not instant. You stay in your current neighborhood until the move completes. Your current block gets notice you're leaving; the new one knows you're coming.

The 3-day wait prevents residency hopping and gives both neighborhoods time to adjust. You can cancel anytime before the move completes.

On Circles: a move status card appears with a "Cancel move" button. On Neighborhood Network: the residency panel has a "Cancel move" button. Both work.

You'll see a confirmation overlay: "Switch your move? Cancel that move and start moving here instead?" Click confirm and it cancels the old move and starts the new one.

No. One home neighborhood at a time. You can follow and visit as many as you want, but residency is exclusive.

The Lead manages the block — Known For lines, hero image, shutdown authority. You become a lead by creating a neighborhood or receiving a hand-off from the current lead.

You can lead one neighborhood at a time (MVP). To free your seat, hand off the lead to a co-resident. Founder credit stays permanently, and your seat opens so you can found or accept another. Multi-lead seats may return later as a Pro unlock; the product still counts active leads the same way.

The new lead inherits all powers — Known For editing, hero uploads, shutdown authority. Pending shutdowns transfer too. You keep founder credit but lose the active seat.

Yes, with guardrails: only if fewer than 3 residents (otherwise hand off first), and it's a 3-day wait (not instant). Residents get notified. You can cancel during the wait. When it completes, residents go to Urban default and all posts for that block are hard-deleted.

Yes — the lead can cancel anytime during the 3-day wait. Also, if a 3rd resident joins during the wait, the deletion auto-cancels.

"Blocks you lead" shows neighborhoods where you're the current active lead. If you founded one but handed off the lead, it disappears from this list. Founder credit is permanent but the panel only shows active seats.

The chip counts active lead seats, not founded neighborhoods. If you handed off the lead, your seat is free even though founder credit remains. The list and chip match — both show active leads only.

Local browser history of the last 10 neighborhood profiles you opened. Device-only (not server-tracked). Different from server visits, which are a counter on the neighborhood profile.

No — your follow list is private. People can see a neighborhood's total follow count but not who follows it.

When you're in a 3-day move, the stat shows an arrow pointing to your destination. Once the move completes, it updates to your new home.

All their tracks expired (free-tier 30-day auto-delete) or were deleted. The badge shows "Was an Artist" in a dimmed style. Uploading a new track restores the "Artist" badge.

It's intentional matching — meet people nearby with shared interests. Swipe-based discovery, but not explicitly a dating app.

Photo-gating prevents blank/anonymous accounts from swiping. You're seeing real faces and being seen as a real person.

No — Link Up is proximity-based within your Circle. Cross-Circle matching isn't supported.

You get a notification. From there you can visit their profile and interact through shared spaces (rooms, porch). No auto-created DM channel.

Free-tier tracks auto-delete after 30 days. A daily sweeper removes expired tracks and their audio files. Go Pro to keep your tracks permanently.
